Tele-Conferencing was required to communicate with clients and regional branches that did not have video conferencing facilities. Audio clarity was of the clarity and pick-up coverage was of the highest importance. Tele-Conferencing was to be achieved via integration with clients newly installed VoIP (SIP) telephony system.
Presentation requirements where two-fold, firstly to have the ability for multi-format connectivity, and secondly for each participant in the room to be able to see presentations clearly. Cabled connectivity needed to support HDMI, DisplayPort, Mini DisplayPort and VGA formats. Whilst another requirement was to have the ability to present wirelessly from Smart Devices or laptops.
Clever system design allowed for the reduction of equipment necessary to achieve the stated requirements, while at the same time reducing overall cost to the client. To make sure all participants could clearly view presentations, four rooms displays were installed. Two 84-inch displays in the front of the room and two 55-inch displays toward the rear of the room. The two rear displays were installed in motorised display lifts to conceal them and free up space when not in use.
Lastly, the room was equipped with a touch panel interface, form which users could control the room. Selecting room modes, changes sources, activating the rear room displays, volume controls and many other functions.
