Digital Business Integration was commissioned to install a Video Conferencing system at a Consulate in Johannesburg. The installation was to leverage off of existing room equipment and infrastructure. The Consulate needed to communicate with other Consulates across Southern Africa, as well as share documents, presentations and content with their counterparts whilst on a video call.
A Polycom Group Series Video Conferencing Codec was installed, along with an Eagle-Eye Producer camera and Real Presence Touch. Switching and Scaling equipment was added to allow users to share content form their laptops, whilst in a video call.

The Polycom Eagle-Eye Producer camera automatically tracks, zooms in and frames the active speaker, allowing far side participants to clearly see the active speaker. When there is no active speaker in the room, the camera will then automatically zoom out to give a wide view of the room (making all room participants visible again), until the next active speaker is detected.
To allow for easy system operation, A Polycom Real Presence Touch, touch panel interface was added to simplify task such as dialling contacts, searching for contacts, adding contacts, camera control, volume control and sharing laptop content.
